In another study by the same group, they combined Cissus quadrangularis with the Irvingia and made three test groups: one with the Irvingia/Cissus blend, one with Cissus only, and another with placebo.

This time, the Invingia group tested better again across the same measurements.Another 10 week study showed people taking Irvingia lost just over 28 pounds in 10 weeks, with numerous positive chemical results as well. One who understands research might be skeptical of these results, but the average person probably would think the results are wonderful.

Before going to the health food store to buy Irvingia products, you probably should try to find better research. A controlled study would keep its subjects in a place like a hospital where all food and activity can be monitored.The subjects in these studies I mentioned may not have been reliable in recording their food intake and we don’t know what else was going on either.

The rights to the product are owned by the person responsible for the research, making the situation even worse!An increase in metabolism of 1400 calories per day would be required to lose 28 pounds in then weeks without changes in eating or exercise.Is it so hard to remember Hoodia, the last African weight loss sensation?In summary, Irvingia might be good for fiber, but with so many alternative sources being more cost effective, it hardly seems worth the high price tag.
