When summer comes people are always looking to do some outdoor activities. People in the UK welcome mild and sunny weather with open arms. UK’s summer is not really that famous but this year it seems like we are having a fantastic summer so far. Outdoor toys such as trampolines or climbing frames companies every year look to the summer as it shit is the time their business makes a massive profit.

During the summer time most households with kids are planning to buy outdoor toys for them to play in the garden. Some go for trampolines and some buy climbing frames. More people buy trampolines because it is suitable for the garden and also there is no age restriction to use this product. Another good thing about the trampoline is that you will also be able to use it for fitness regime. These days you can purchase a trampoline which suits your garden, I mean size wise. You can buy outdoor trampolines from 8ft trampolines to 12ft trampolines. If you want any bigger than that then you can get 14ft trampolines to even 16ft garden trampolines. Some people have bigger garden so they can fit 16ft trampoline easily in their back yard.

Research has shown that the sales of trampolines do increase from winter to summer every year. Especially since 2008 the sales of trampoline have increased massively because of the safety. There was questions raised regarding the safety of the trampoline few years ago but since then manufacturers have made sure that the safety first comes. This has certainly helped the increase in sales of the trampolines because parents are not concerned about it anymore.

So if you are thinking of starting a new business in the summer, then outdoor toys shop might be a good idea.

Trampolines are a great way to exercise and socialise for kids and adults alike. Trampolining also has several proven fitness benefits other than being brilliant fun! Regular use of trampolines and rebounders increases muscle strength and improves your fitness by elevating your pulse rate and ensuring that oxygen is pumped around your body more efficiently. A good trampolining session, will make you feel healthier like any aerobic exercise and on top of that because they are used outdoors, fresh air is an added bonus.

Becaue trampolines produces more aerobin exercise than jogging, doctors often recommend use of trampolines to the heart patients to help strengthen their heart. Ten minutes use of trampolines provides the same advantages as going for a run for 30 minutes and also are great fun! Trampolining uses every muscle in the body as you have to control your jump, this can help get your body toned, stomach toned and your thighs slim.

As trampolining have all these benefits, the biggest concern many people have is the safety. Round 12ft trampolines, 14ft trampolines 10ft trampolines, 8ft trampolines from reputable brands can incorporate trampoline safety nets that completely encloses the bounce mat and avoid any spills. Big brands these days have double bounce system employed on the mat as normally most of the injuries occur on the mat. Mats uses two layers of well padded and cushioned sprung mats, which provides lowe bounces for the kids but it can handle upto 17 stone adult (and that 17 stone can be lost in no time, if you use trampolines regularly!)

Trampolines for outdoor garden are circular to encourage all the bounce is towards the centre for safety reasons and maximum rebound. Rectangular trampolines are really intended for serious, competition-focussed, athletes and probably not the best option if you simply want a fun thing to do in the back yard. So helping to strengthen bones, trimming, toning tums and bums, improving fitness and even detoxing your lymphatic system are all side effects of trampolining. It’s probably your mental health that will improve most though. The sheer excitement and motivation fun of jumping up and down in a safe trampoline is guaranteed to put a smile on people’s face no matter of what age they are!

Trampolines are made of four basic components the tubing, springs, safety pads and jumping mat. These days most trampolines have safety nets built to it.

The jumping mats are made of woven fibres, this gives the mat a strong hold. Trampolines nowadays are made of plastic or nylon.

Safety pads go over the springs and frame and are made of foam. They connect the pads to the frame and use vinyl covers and pie straps for connection. Safety pad foam core as also outsources to a foam specialists by many trampoline manufacturers. The above process is how manufacturers build the trampolines you use for exercise and fun.

Here is an interesting information you might be interested in, trampoline manufacturers have over 80 people working in the factory working 8 hours a day to create about 500 trampolines. There are some manufacturers who only build trampolines for athletes and some who produce for everyone from 8ft trampolines to 14ft trampolines for outdoor and home use.

Recently there was news about Trampoline Company in the UK designing trampolines without the frames. Their logic behind this was to prevent injuries, as most injuries occur when falling into the metal frames.

Exercise should be a vital part of everyone’s daily routine. Regrettably, more often than not this isn’t the case. In some instances, standard exercise may be too harsh on one’s muscles. Other people find demanding, repetitive workout routines insipid, therefore hard to sustain each day. So, discovering a routine which is both fun and positive for our health is the key to sustained exercise. A trampoline provides exercisers with the two. Using a trampoline to exercise is a lot more than just jumping about idly. You’ll find are plenty of trampoline routines to keep the exercise is entertaining and varied.

1. The Contact Bounce. Ensure that your feet are about shoulder length apart. Bend your knees a little and position your hands on top of your hips at your waist. Create a bouncing movement using your body, but ensure that your feet remain on the mat. Continue with this motion at least times to enable your body to feel at ease with using this equipment.

2. Foot Tapping. Put your feet at a shoulder length distance, bend at the knees and set your hands at your waist. Gently move your body towards the right and tap your left foot. Repeat this movement, but now move towards the left side and also tap your right foot. Repeat the move to the point that both your left and right foot have been tapped ten times and you have worked into a smooth bounce.

3. Side to Side. Start with your feet side to side. Begin to bounce and at the same time balancing slightly to one side. The bounce again but lean in the opposite direction. Carry on bouncing and shifting your right and left, ten times on each side. You’ll find that you build up a steady bounce.

4. Hamstring Curling. Start bouncing and slightly balance your body mass to the right side. Bring your left foot up to your buttocks while bouncing. Do it again, although this time sway towards the left and lift your right foot. Repeat ten times producing a smooth rhythm.

5. In Place Jog and Bounce. Start this routine by lightly jogging in place. Continue this action for ten seconds. Once you have counted for ten seconds, alternate your jog into a bounce. Bounce twice on each leg before switching legs. Do it again ten times on both left and right leg.

6. Bouncing Big. Launch this rountine by lightly bouncing. Carry on with this until you are bouncing high enough to jump off the trampoline. Keep going to the point you have developed a a smooth rhythm. This should be repeated for ten times.

7. Raise the Knees. Start up with a bounce. Lift one knee to the level of your waistline. Continue with this ten times with the left and right knee. Then slow down to a nice pace.

8. Jumping Jacks. Begin with bouncing. Then progress into jumping jacks. Repeat ten times. Finish by slowing down into a steady bounce.

9. Row. Start up by bouncing. Alternately raise the left and right knee to your waistline. Create an upright row using your arms. Carry on with to the point when you have worked both the left and right knee ten times. Finish by slowing down to a rhythmic bounce.

10. The twist and bounce.. Start with a bounce. While doing so, position your feet side by side. At the same time, twist your body side to side. Repeat this movement ten times. Slowing down into a rhythmic bounce.

This is to lower the number of accidents caused by using the trampolines.

The casualties in 2010 have increased again compare to 2009 but to be honest this might be because the summer has been brilliant in 2010 than 2009.
