How To Reduce Your Weight

A few years ago I decided I had had enough of being fat and that it was time to do something about it. What I required was my own type of weight loss program. I have never liked the thought of attending a gym, they seem to be full of thin people, however I knew that exercise would need to be a factor.

I received great support from my best friend Jason. He is a very successful man with various business interests including to do with upvc doors, the personal injury claims process and offering Comet voucher codes.

As well as exercise, I also realised that I had to change my eating habits. I am a person who has always enjoyed fatty types of food – you know the ones – the ones that are really bad for you. I love all types of take away including pizzas, a curry, a chinese, and chips. I would always be snacking in between meals, on things like peanuts and crisps. Then there was alcoholic drinks – I am not an alcoholic but I certainly enjoyed drinking a few beers on a Saturday and Sunday night.

The thought of cutting all of these things out of my life seemed to harsh, so I decided that I would start to write down everything I ate. By doing this I could moniter what I was eating in a much better and beneficial way.

This is what I decided to eat on average per day.

I would eat a healthy breakfast such as toast or cerial. I would try not to eat any snacks in between any meals, this was the thing that would be most difficult to stick to.

For lunch I would also stick to something healthy like pasta, however for my evening meal, I decided that I could eat anything that I wanted, including curry. I would on occasion treat myself to a curry or a chinese; this was something that I believed was essential to save me from going crazy.

This type of diet needs a lot of discipline and character, however it hs helped me to become a lot more confident and happy with life.

Speeding Up Metabolism Gets The Job Done

Any time that you are speeding up metabolism; you will be able to burn more fat.  There are several different ways that you can do this for yourself.  Here are just a few:

Add protein to your diet. Reseachers have found that protein is harder to digest and therefore burns a lot more calories as it is digested and helps you put on lean muscle at the
same time. The easiest way to add high quality protein is to make protein shakes with a good quality whey or soy protein, you can also add fruit.

East 5 to 6 small meals per day instead of 3 large meals. When you eat small meals during the day your metabolism runs at a faster pace.

Add spices to your soup and other favorite foods. Peppers are known to cause an increase in your metabolism so add them to soups whenever you can.

Regulate your consumption of alcohol which slows down your metabolism. If you make it a habit to drink fewer alcoholic beverages you will help keep your metabolism humming along.

Eat more nuts.There are a lot of people that eat nuts as part of a diet routine, but few of them know why they are important.Well, nuts contain magnesium and the good Omega 3/6/9 fats that are good for your heart.  The nuts will provide you with a filling, and wholesome snack that can help you along the way.  Speaking of snacks, it is important that you understand that by snack we mean that it should be no larger than a hand full.

Exercise with free weights. Free weights are one of the best resources when it comes to increasing the speed of your metabolism. Buy a small set of dumbells or join a local gym. Do arm curls when you wake up in the morning for a few minutes. Start out with small weights and do more reps.
